Abstract
The nutritional status of pregnant women is very important because pregnant women need adequate and balanced nutrition to support the optimal growth and development of the fetus. Poor nutritional conditions in pregnant women can increase the risk of pregnancy complications that often occur, namely anemia. The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Labruk Health Center, Sumbersuko, Lumajang. The research method used an analytic survey research method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women who checked at the Labruk Kidul Health Center, 82 people. Sampling used simple random sampling, the number of samples was 45 respondents. The research instrument used an observation sheet. The results showed that most of the respondents with normal nutritional status were not anemic (77.8%). The results of data analysis using the Spearman Rank results obtained P value 0.00 (<0.05) which means there is a fairly strong and significant correlation between the nutritional status of pregnant women and the Incidence of Anemia. It is better for pregnant women to add information or knowledge about the nutrition of pregnant women so they can find out the causes of anemia and its consequences. In addition, health workers, especially midwives, can provide counseling and education about the nutritional status of pregnant women and provide nutritious food for pregnant women so that the nutritional adequacy of pregnant women is fulfilled and anemia is avoided.
